40 women calligraphers wrote Fadak sermons


According to Fars News Agency, at the same time as the martyrdom of the daughter of two worlds, Hazrat Zahra, peace be upon her, the writing of Fadkiyeh’s sermon entitled “Sarir Fadak” by 40 women calligraphers of Tehran, calligraphy and calligraphy teachers by Golestan Cultural Center with the participation of the association Urban calligraphers were held at the Fadak House of Culture.

In this program, a group of women calligraphers along with Elham Khatami and Ali Ali, veterans of calligraphy, were present. In two sections of calligraphy and calligraphy, women calligraphers wrote parts of Fadkiyeh’s sermon in the beautiful Nastaliq script and exposed it to the eyes of the interested people.

Elham Khatami, who is the first lady master of calligraphy in Nastaliq and has a master’s degree from the Iranian Calligraphers Association, said in a speech referring to the active presence of women in various fields: We were in this field in various cultural and artistic fields, and I would like to mention their active presence here.

He continued: “These women made the most of every opportunity given to them to be able to show their creativity.” The role of women in raising their children as the next generation is undeniable, and in this way they have a great cultural impact on their children.

Ali Ali, another calligraphy teacher who was present at the meeting, also said in a short speech: Fadakiyeh sermon was divided into different sections and according to the history of each calligrapher, they were given sections to write this holy sermon in the beautiful Nastaliq script. In the end, these calligraphies are to be displayed in the form of an exhibition and exposed to the public.

Afshin Mashai, the Deputy Minister of Creation and Performance of Golestan Cultural Center, also said at the ceremony: “Since childhood, we all wanted to do something during Muharram and Fatimid days and show our devotion to the holy site of the Imams, peace be upon them.” This year, we had the success to welcome women calligraphers at the Golestan Cultural Center, and by writing the sermon of Fadakiyeh, which is one of the most important relics of Hazrat Zahra, peace be upon her, we took a step to show her politeness.

At the end of the ceremony, the women calligraphers present in this workshop were honored.
