According to Mehr reporter, Iskander Momeni, the Secretary General of the Narcotics Control Headquarters, at the specialized meeting on addiction prevention – public participation – employment of those who have recovered, emphasizing the importance of continuing the project of life helpers in schools in order to prevent addiction, said: the plan of life helpers will initially cover 40,000 schools. and it is predicted that 80,000 schools will be covered by this plan by the end of the academic year.
Momeni stated that we believe that education is a sea that everyone can benefit from; He said: The most important ministry in the country is the Ministry of Education. If we want a healthy society, we must educate it. The first title of our meeting is prevention. We must prioritize prevention.
He pointed out that we live next to a country where more than 90% of drug production is in this country; He said: In the last 20 years, the production of narcotics in Afghanistan reached 50 times and the production of industrial narcotics has increased significantly. This issue requires modern knowledge, equipment and precursors. These are equipments that have dual use in industries and come to Afghanistan from European countries.
The general secretary of the anti-narcotics headquarters stated that we are in a full-scale war that targets the country’s funds; He said: The biggest crime of the Americans, after killing the innocent people of Afghanistan, was to lead the country’s economy to the production of narcotics.
He stated that last year we offered 12 martyrs in the frontline of the fight against drugs; He said: One of the most important places that can be effective in dealing with drugs is lack of education. More than 12 million students and parents are associated with the parent association and one million teachers serve in the schools, which is a huge capacity. We also extend our hand and are ready to do everything with the Ministry of Education if this agreement is reached.
The secretary general of the anti-narcotics headquarters added: “40,000 schools have been covered by this plan.” We hope that 80,000 schools will be covered by this plan by the end of the school year. It is also very important to use the capacity of the association of parents and teachers so that parents are familiar with the dangers of drugs.
