700,000 construction workers will be insured within the next two years

According to Fars News Agency, Hassan Shojaei, the head of the Article 90 Parliamentary Commission, wrote: We are all indebted to the dear workers of Iran. With today’s vote of the Revolutionary Assembly, the government was obliged to insure all construction and seasonal workers within two years.

Also, Vali Ismaili, the head of the social commission of the parliament, said: the deputies approved in the framework of the plan to amend the workers’ insurance law that 700,000 construction workers who are waiting for insurance will be insured by the Social Security Insurance Fund within the next 2 years.

According to the head of the Social Commission, the necessary resources to cover workers’ insurance were obtained from construction tolls, which depend on 1 to 15 percent of the building area, and collected in the Social Security Fund, and within two years, all construction workers and seasonal workers Are insured.
