Ahmad Karimi, director of the Fakhra vaccine project, in an interview with a Fars News Agency health reporter, explained about the latest status of corona vaccine production in this complex: “So far, according to our contract with the Ministry of Health, one million doses of corona vaccine have been delivered to the Ministry of Health.”
He added: “According to this contract, it is stipulated that another one million doses of vaccine be delivered to the Ministry of Health.”
Karimi stated that based on clinical trials of phase three, the efficacy of Fakhra vaccine has been reported to be 90% relative to that of Sinofarm.
The project manager of Fakhra vaccine stated that the injection of this vaccine is not done for children: the studies of children for this vaccine have not been done.
He said: “The results of the studies of this vaccine have been published in the prestigious journal Vaccine and we have three other articles in progress that will be published in prestigious international journals if judged.”
Karimi said that the production process of this vaccine is going well: “We have requested exports from some countries and we hope to see the export of this vaccine to other countries in the near future.”
