90 pending projects in the capital will be put into operation by the end of the year

According to Fars report, Abbas Shabani stated in the 117th session of the Tehran Islamic Council regarding the 6-month monitoring report of capital asset acquisition projects of the technical and civil engineering department of Tehran Municipality, stating that we should give the council’s answer with the allocated credit of 550 billion tomans. : Some of these projects have been referred to us in the fifth or sixth month.
The Technical and Civil Deputy of Tehran Municipality stated that the registration of costs and physical progress is usually delayed by two months, and noted that the process of this issue takes two months and this is the nature of construction. Currently, many of our projects have more than 6 months of physical progress, and projects with physical progress of less than 10% have reached more than 25%.
Emphasizing that the companies and organizations have entered into contracts with the approval of the council, he reminded that there was no plan that was not approved and signed by the vice-chancellor of transport and traffic.
Shabani declared that all measures are implemented based on the comprehensive plan and clarified: Shahid Shushtri project and the continuation of Yadgar Imam Highway were included in Tehran’s comprehensive plan and we are carrying out the measures based on it.
He continued: The water and sewage company cooperated well with us, and it was approved in the health, environment and urban services committee of the council that the resolution of the objections of priority projects regarding water bills should be done.
The Technical and Civil Deputy of Tehran Municipality stated that the permit for walling in Yadgar Imam Highway section was obtained from the army and said: Out of 18 intersections, 10 did not have a contract for which we signed a contract with Khatam headquarters. Of these, five plans have been delivered and the Najafi Rostgar intersection is ready, and we are trying to prepare and deliver 12 to 14 intersections by the end of the year. In the next year, we will have 20 non-level intersection improvement projects on our agenda.
Referring to the functional position of Shahid Shushtri highway, Shabani reminded: This project has suburban function and we turned this highway into a freeway because otherwise it would have become a problem. The project requires a budget of seven thousand billion tomans. The first section up to kilometer 9 should be implemented and put into operation, and our share this year was 12%. The Riyal progress of this project is zero and the reason is that the contractor started working without a contract and implemented the project in good faith. We must deliver the first piece and put it into operation by the end of September next year.
He stated that we re-reviewed every plan that was approved by the Traffic Council, and clarified: This review was also done regarding Yadgar Imam’s plan. There was a space between the two existing lanes on the Yadgar Imam highway, and by solving the problem and establishing connections, 1,300 billion tomans of economic savings were achieved for the municipality.
Declaring that today’s price of the plan is 1,400 billion tomans, Shabani reminded: We will act according to the budget. This year, our share of Yadgar Imam project is 15%, and we have achieved 7% physical progress.
The Technical and Civil Deputy of Tehran Municipality emphasized: If the opponents of this project are removed, the first section of Yadgar Imam Highway will be completed on 22 Bahman and will be put into operation.
Regarding the Shahid Shushtri project, he said: 40% physical progress should have been registered in this project by the end of the year, and so far there has been 15% physical progress, which is due to the traffic diversion and the presence of a large water pipe on the way to the implementation of the project.
Stating that 350 billion tomans have been estimated for the two bridges of the Sablan Square project, Shabani noted: We have reduced the costs to 70 billion tomans by geometrical correction.
Referring to the delivery of Shahid Avini intersection in the Fajr decade of this year, the technical and civil deputy of Tehran Municipality reminded: We have problems on Azadegan highway. The expressways are not in a good condition in terms of the quality of the asphalt, the width of the entrances and exits, and we have put the modification of these expressways on the agenda, which will be put into operation on June 3rd of next year.
He emphasized: We have 115 kilometers of extra road on the Shahid Hamdani highway, which has been reduced by 16 kilometers with the modification, and a part of it will be put into operation in the Fajr decade.
Stating that Tehran has more than 750 bridges, Shabani said: 66 bridges built before 2018 need to be retrofitted and repaired. 14 retrofitting projects are planned, of which we will deliver seven projects this year and seven projects next year.
The Technical and Civil Deputy of Tehran Municipality stated that we have a backlog of 10 million tons in asphalt production and distribution and stated: Today we crossed the 600 thousand tons mark. In the first 6 months of the year, 596,000 tons of asphalt were produced and distributed, and if the necessary credits were available, the amount of distribution would also increase. The only rust that makes areas white is asphalt.
Announcing that we asphalted Tehran-Isfahan freeway from the beginning of the year to November, he reminded that the service plan was implemented in 22 regions and 190,000 tons of asphalt was distributed in the regions. Areas equal to 5 times the asphalt of Valiasr Street were paved with a width of 16 meters.
Shabani emphasized: More than 100 major projects were pending in the city of Tehran, the value of which was 1,500 billion tomans. According to the estimates, if 600 billion Tomans are spent on these projects, they will be completed. 10 billion tomans will be allocated to these projects every week in coordination with the financial deputy of the municipality in order to create more mobility, and we are in the seventh week of allocating this amount.
He continued: 90 pending projects of the city have been organized and will be put into operation by the end of this year, which is an average of four projects in each region, and includes from Sarai Mahallat to the water tank.
It should be mentioned that the report submitted by the technical and civil engineering department of Tehran Municipality regarding the construction projects of the capital was approved and appreciated by the members of the Islamic Council of Tehran.
