According to Fars News Agency, the head of the Prisons Organization and the head of the Basij Sazandegi Organization signed a joint memorandum of understanding in order to develop cooperation and interactions in achieving common goals in various fields of employment and empowerment of prisoners.
We will do our best to return the prisoners to a good life
Gholam-Ali Mohammadi, the head of the Prisons Organization, said at the signing ceremony of the memorandum hosted by the organization: “The people we are in charge of in prisons are somehow the weakest sections of society, either materially or intellectually, and this has caused Is that they fall into the abyss of sin and crime. Accordingly, it requires us to use all our legal capacity so that they too can have a good life and live a happy life after liberation.
He continued: “One of the dimensions of achieving the most important goal of the organization, which is the subject of prison reform and education, is the issue of employment and vocational training.” Fortunately, in these years, the slogan of the year has been defined with the focus on production, and for us, creating jobs in prisons is one of the priority programs. At the beginning of the year, we also stressed to the prison administrators across the country that they should use the capacities of the people, charities, entrepreneurs and others to achieve this.
We are taking a serious step towards unraveling the work of our clients by increasing them
The head of the Prisons Organization pointed out: The 43-year experience after the Islamic Revolution has shown that in jihadi activities, wherever the Basij has entered in matters of construction, deprivation, etc., it has been successful; Because the Basijis target the souls of the people and win the hearts of the people, and because they work with sincerity, God blesses their actions.
Mohammadi hailed the signing of the memorandum with the Basij Sazandegi Organization during the holy month of Ramadan and said: “I hope the various aspects of the memorandum, using the capacity of the Basij Sazandegi Organization to create employment and empower prisoners and help their families livelihood by creating jobs for their guardians.” Be operational and take this serious step to untie the knot of people’s work.
The face of the country’s prisoners is often cultural and educational
Also at the signing ceremony of this memorandum, Sardar Zahraei, the head of the Basij Sazandegi organization, said: “Last year, I visited the prisons several times and I believe that today, fortunately, the atmosphere in the country’s prisons is often cultural and educational and we have succeeded in this change.”
Regarding the change in the worldview of prisoners, the head of the Basij-e-Sazandegi organization emphasized: “This worldview must be crystallized in the implementation of examples, one of the best dimensions of which will be the training and employment of clients.” Society accepts a transformed prisoner when he or she has a new skill and identity, which is reflected in his or her job.
He added: “We have a duty to help clients to both change their attitude and create jobs for them.” We have come to work for this. We are skilled in mobilizing in various aspects, from jihad in the field of treatment to the release of prisoners, so that in the last two years we have implemented the release of about 10,000 involuntary offenders with the help of mobilizing lawyers and others in society.
We know the prisoners as one of our goals and as deprived
Sardar Zahraei, stating that the construction mobilization also has facilities and duties as the executive body of the country, said: “Our target point is the deprived, and in this regard, we consider the prisoner among the deprived who need to be taken care of.” We are ready to take action in empowering their employment and marketing their products, etc. In addition, caring for the families in need can also be covered by us.
He added: “Today, for us to unite and stand together is not a ritual but a necessity to solve the country’s problems.” After signing the memorandum with the prisons organization and informing the provinces, we will have joint meetings to explain it with the construction officials, lawyers and general managers of the prisons so that operational action can be taken at the beginning of the year. Joint reporting and monitoring of the implementation of the MoU are also on the agenda.
It is worth mentioning that Seyyed Abdullah Morteza, Deputy Minister of Health, Correction and Training of the Prisons Organization, and Sohrab Anbaraki, Head of the Basij Lawyers Organization, presented a report on previous measures as well as joint programs to help employment and release prisoners.
