This member of the parliament stated: The majority of the meetings held by the Cultural Committee of the Islamic Council were for the fulfillment of the commission’s legal and regulatory duties. It was only an interdepartmental coordination between institutions and collections that the cultural commission held its meetings with this purpose to help the executive directors to form coordination.
He emphasized: The legislative process in the parliament is clear and every plan and bill must go through this process in order to be implemented. The legislative process is not such that a representative or a commission in the parliament wills and after two weeks the matter will be implemented. If there is a need for new legislation or revision of previous laws in the field of hijab and chastity, it has its own detailed discussion, this process is time-consuming and requires its own discussions and preparations.
