A teacher on the sidewalk/ a story that started with “Arash” – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news

Mehr news agency; Provinces group: Often, when we pass through the main streets of the city, we see working children and migrant children, although we are affected by their situation, but we pass by them without paying attention. Sometimes one person’s attention to this social phenomenon becomes an effective source of work and will start a new path in the life path of these children.

Hasan Golchinnejad Dezfuli is the director and teacher of Ayatollah Philosophical Elementary School in Dezful, who has a specialized doctorate in curriculum planning and also teaches at Farhangian University of Dezful. This experienced teacher, at the beginning of the academic year of 2019, while crossing a street in Dezful city, he saw an Afghan child worker on the side of the sidewalk, who was spreading a mat and selling things, and at the same time, he was drawing lines in a notebook.

This teacher draws his attention to the child’s writings and after asking him a few questions, he finds out that 9-year-old Arash does not go to school and his residence is nearby.

After meeting with the child’s parents, Golchin Nejad Dezfuli realizes that no school will enroll Arash. Although this teacher is not able to find a legal solution to solve this problem, he cannot leave this child alone and decides to make Arash literate.

Since there is no suitable space for teaching, Golchin comes to teach this child in the afternoons, next to the same Khorazi table.

Some time later, other immigrant children are added to this street school and the teacher inevitably chooses another place to teach.

The collection of Dezfuli breed forms the desired class next to one of the city’s parks, where it is close to the residence of a number of children. The class that started with Arash gradually increased to 60 people with Mujib, Barkat, Malik, Asal, Bahareh, Zabih, etc.

These children, who are Afghan immigrants and some Pakistanis, often help their families by peddling due to economic problems, but despite all the difficulties, they welcome participation in this street class.

The reflection of this news has been widely reflected in the virtual space and media, and most people support this humanitarian movement. Golchin’s sincere efforts are supported by Dezful education, educators and benefactors, and sometimes they send financial aid.
