You can read the text of the note below:
“About the unaccountable situation of the home show network / We have given up!
There is a lot of discussion about the “Release Me” series. A series that has faced severe technical and content criticism, and its producer considers these criticisms to be just a media move and the result of a fight between the TV, Ministry of Education, home theaters and Satra.
The series Rehaim Ken at first glance starring actors such as Mohsen Tanabande, Hoten Shakiba, Yusuf Timuri, Azadeh Samadi, Hoda Zain El Abdin, Hassan Majuni, Babak Karimi, Mehdi Hosseininia, Shahram Qaidi, Mona Ahmadi, as well as the spatial image narrated in the past decades. It attracts the viewer.
An image that has an acceptable quality both in terms of stage and costume design and in terms of image quality. But the Rahim Ken series, which has now reached its 13th station, has an approach and a point of view that needs serious revision.
This series aims to portray the social, cultural and economic environment before the revolution. The story revolves around a family in which the empty place of the mother is felt. This family has an authoritarian father, each of his children is scarred by his behavior. The atmosphere that governs the story revolves around lies, fear, and greed, and each of the characters has unsaid secrets that, when they are revealed, cause serious problems.
The story has three sides; One is the adventures of the mine, the financial problem of the workers and the murder of one of the workers. Second, what happened to the daughter of the family. Due to his great interest in a famous singer, he got in touch with him and with the invitation he received from him, he meets him away from the eyes of his family and spends a night with him. The third side of the story is the relationship between Hatem (the eldest son of the family) and his child’s nurse, who, because of this relationship with his younger brother, has formed a triangular relationship.
The hero of the story is Hatem, played by Mohsen Tanabandeh. Hatem intends to bear the burden of this life and come out of each of these three sides of the successful story. Of course, the story has some dumb points that may be fixed in the future. But the things that can be seen in the background of this narrative and depict a new atmosphere compared to the previous works of the series in Iran, are the events and situations that were only mentioned in irony before, but have been depicted to this extent. It could not be and there was no exaggeration.
The theme of the family girl’s impudence in communicating with a man and that man’s sexual betrayal and turning it into one of the axes of the story is one of these examples. If we accept this type of narrative as a project of a social harm, it will bring to the audience when it will be condemned. But unbelievably in “Release Me” this process is not so negative. Where the daughter of the family presents herself to her fictitious wife in the director’s picture frame to solve the issue of pregnancy and the disgrace that has happened to the family and boldly uses unconventional literature for the issue of sex.
The design of this issue on the one hand and the showing of unconventional scenes about this issue on the other hand, is very thought-provoking. Another thing that can be seen in the series is the ugliness of male and female actors. This happened in very simple and normal situations, such as calling, holding someone who is going, and accompanying someone else on a path, and… where will it stop?
And the third theme that is repeated and emphasized in series like “Leave me” is the frequent and excessive use of alcohol and smoking, as well as the smoking of the female characters of the series. It is as if the series promotes a certain lifestyle. In a series as a family consumer product, these situations fit together like puzzle pieces and depict a new atmosphere. A space that crosses the moral red line and announces the effort to promote a new look in the making of the series.
How long will this process continue and who will regulate it?
