Accumulation of 178 thousand defective cars / carmakers in the desire to increase prices?

According to Tejarat News, the Inspector General of Silence Affairs of the National Inspection Organization announced the accumulation of 178,000 defective cars in parking lots.

Ashkan Mir Mohammadi also said in tonight’s headline program of Khabar Network: If there is determination and jihadi spirit, it is possible to supply defective car parts.

Seyed Ali Mousavi, a member of the Parliamentary Industries Commission, also strongly criticized the monopoly in the automotive industry, saying: “Automakers are supplying cars in droplets so that they can increase prices by accumulating demand.”

Automakers seek to reduce losses

Abdullah Meshkani, an expert in the car market, in an interview with Tejarat News, said that the main reason for the accumulation of cars was the reduction of losses and explained: It is automobiles.

He continued: “The loss that carmakers suffer in the production and sale of cars is another factor that causes the accumulation of defective cars in warehouses.”

No supply until prices increase

Meshkani believes that car manufacturers store cars in order to compensate for part of their costs by increasing car prices in order to prevent losses and compensate for production and parts costs.

The car industry expert continued by pointing out that the increase in car prices does not compensate for the accumulated losses of car manufacturers: “Considering the fact that production costs and selling prices of cars are determined based on the last three to four months, car manufacturers need to increase prices more.” have.

According to Meshkani, the increase in the price of the dollar and the fact that the selling price of car factories is not aligned with the price of currency, and on the other hand, the pricing of cars in the open market with the free market dollar are among the factors that cause car manufacturers to lose.

Car pricing problems

Meshkani considers the retrospective policy of pricing automakers wrong; Because the review of their production price and sales rate of cars is determined based on the exchange rate and market three months ago, while the dollar price is rising and the market price has risen with the dollar rate, but the factory price has not risen relatively properly.

In the end, he said: “Unless the automakers’ sales are at their disposal so that they can do pricing based on the daily exchange rate of the dollar and the free market, this path of erosion and loss is facing the automakers.”
