Allocate 8 free lands in District 22 to resolve the educational crisis

According to Fars News Agency, Vahid Reza Mohammadi, the mayor of Tehran’s 22nd district, said in a meeting with Mohsen Motalebi, the director of education in Tehran’s 5th district, on the occasion of Teacher’s Day: We have increased the education of the residents with an inter-sectoral cooperation.

He added: “A significant part of this area is made up of residential towns that have been built in the last two decades;” Unfortunately, most of the settlements have not fulfilled their obligations to build schools, while the population of this area is increasing day by day, and according to a monitoring, there is a shortage of one hundred schools in this area.

Mohammadi continued: “In 1987, the population of this region was 60,000, but these days the population has reached 250,000, and according to forecasts, in the next few years the population will reach half a million, which is not proportional to the per capita education and this shortage.” The school is the second challenge after the lack of a sewage system.

The mayor of this western region of Tehran pointed out: “Fortunately, with the measures of the mayor of Tehran in this period of urban management, special attention has been paid to the issue of increasing per capita education.

He added: “Any complex that builds more than 200 residential units will not be completed by the municipality in any way if it does not provide per capita education;” On the other hand, with a cooperation, collaboration and like-mindedness between the municipality and education, this challenge can be solved in a defined period of time.

Mohammadi said: “Unfortunately, we see that a significant number of students living in this area travel to Tehran’s District 5 to study, and with the opening of new schools in this area, we will see a decrease in urban traffic.”

The mayor of Tehran’s 22nd district, in response to the question, “What measures has the municipality taken to solve this educational challenge?” It is under construction and three other lands are in the process of administrative affairs; Of course, in the field of construction permits, assistance will be provided by the city administration.

He said: “Currently, there are 53 public schools, three schools in the villages of the region and 47 non-governmental schools in the 12 neighborhoods of this region; There is also a good budget for this year to help schools by the city administration.

Mohammadi stated: Renovation of Iran Khodro Martyrs School located in Peykanshahr town, painting and isogum of several schools, provision of 17 computers are other measures of urban management for schools in the region.
