WhatsApp backup section will be changed soon. The most important change is allowing the user to select the files he wants to back up.
Despite the negative reactions that users have had to WhatsApp’s controversial privacy policies, these messengers continue to improve. WhatsApp backup feature in Google Drive or iCloud will be very useful when you want to change your phone. But many users complain about the large volume of these backup files. Accordingly, in future versions, users themselves can set limits on the size of their backup files.
WhatsApp backups will be diversified soon
The WABetaInfo website has discovered this feature in version 2.21.21.7 of WhatsApp Android. The new “Manage Chat Backup” button will allow the user to specify the volume of Google Drive backups from his account. This button also allows the user to specify which sections to back up and not include large files such as photos, videos and documents in the backup file.
WhatsApp’s decision to test this feature may not be final, but many users will certainly be happy to add this feature to their favorite messenger. WhatsApp backups do not currently take up space on your Google Drive account, but that is likely to change soon, with a maximum of 2GB of space per user. So deciding which files to back up and which not to do can help the user manage this limited space.
As mentioned above, this feature is currently available to a limited number of users on a trial basis. No word has been said since it was made available to the public. However, we expect WhatsApp to offer this feature for both the Android and iOS versions of its app; Because this feature will be useful for iPhone users as well.
