An urgent “Neighborhood Management System” plan was voted

According to a Fars reporter, In today’s public meeting of Tehran City Council, an urgent plan of “Citizens Neighborhood Participation System with City Management” was discussed.

Parviz Sarvari, Vice Chairman of the Tehran Islamic Council, said: We will use the huge capital of the councilors in the formation of localities, and during the time of Mr. Qalibaf, many powers were given to the councilors who were involved in the locality program of these people.

He stated that there is no doubt that the Tehran Municipality and the Council insist on making useful use of this valuable flow, and clarified that no other capacity can be as effective as the councilors in creating cohesion in the neighborhoods.

Narges Mandaripour, the head of the cultural and social commission of the Tehran Islamic Council, stated that two urgent measures were proposed in March of last year, and this plan became an urgent one, and several meetings were held in this regard in the relevant commission. He said: In addition to explaining the strategies, the project has tried to specify the role of the neighborhood elements in management, supervision and implementation.

A member of the Tehran Islamic Council stated that the supervisory role of the council in the neighborhoods has been taken into consideration in this plan and expressed: We will use the capacity of the councilors in supervision, but the supervisors will not be the same councilors.

Emphasizing that the councilors will continue their activities in their legal path, Mandaripour reminded: the revival of the board of trustees of the neighborhoods has also been taken into consideration. The neighborhood management has been abandoned and inactive in the past years, and its revival is a priority.

He continued: This system letter goes beyond the framework of the plan and in it the responsibility of developing guidelines and guidelines is specified.

The head of the Cultural and Social Commission of the Islamic Council of Tehran, stating that the councilors were the arm of the council in the neighborhoods, noted that: considering that part of the management in the neighborhoods is incomplete, a plan should have been thought of in this regard.

Seyyed Ahmed Alavi, the head of the People’s Participation Committee of the Tehran Islamic Council, also said about this regulation: the duties of more than 350 neighborhood houses in Tehran and more than a thousand manpower of the houses are not known.
