Anahita Temple is one of the most visited buildings in Kermanshah province



According to Aria Heritage, citing the public relations of the General Directorate of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts of Kermanshah Province, Ali Saber stated on Wednesday, April 23rd, at the fourth meeting of the Kangavar County Travel Services Executive Headquarters: “So far, 37 meetings of the Kermanshah Travel Services Executive Headquarters have been held.”

Kermanshah Deputy Minister of Tourism added: “Kangavar city is one of the main routes for Nowruz tourists at the entrance of the province.”

“The location of the Anahita Temple as the second largest stone building in the country in the center of the city has multiplied its importance,” he continued.

“The Anahita Temple is one of the most visited historical sites in the province,” Saber said. “According to ticket sales statistics, more than 1,300 people have visited the complex in the past two days.”

“Seven handicraft booths and a souvenir booth have been set up inside the temple grounds these days,” he added.

“There is only one eco-tourism accommodation unit and three indirect hospitality units in the city,” Saber said, noting that there are shortages in terms of tourism facilities in the city.

In conclusion, the Deputy Minister of Tourism of Kermanshah Province stated that in the last three nights, the only eco-tourism residence in the city has received about 70 people, and specified: “Using the accommodation capacity of schools and teachers’ houses is on the agenda.”
