Announcing the status of more than two thousand depot vehicles to the Ministry of Economy

According to Tejarat News, the story of depot cars goes back to the previous government, when more than 12,000 cars arrived at customs and ports, but in 1397, for reasons such as the currency situation, the import of cars was banned and the owners of goods, most of whom They had imported the cars after receiving the order registration and legal permits, and it was not possible to determine the duties and clearance.
Accordingly, many consultations were held by the owners of goods and related devices to determine the status of these vehicles, until in 1397, the Cabinet announced in a circular the conditions for determining the duties of vehicles, which due to time constraints, this deadline until the beginning of the year. 1398 was extended.
Due to the fact that a large number of cars remained in the customs, the approval was extended again in February 2017 and this process was repeated in June 2016 to September 17. But after that, no decision was made about the cars left in customs, and so far the government has not made a decision about it.
Details of customs correspondence with the Ministry of Economy
However, according to the latest report submitted by the Technical Deputy of Iran’s Customs to the Ministry of Economy on the vehicles in customs, the numbers have not changed; So that the total number of imported cars was 12,261, of which 10,012 were cleared and 2249 were not cleared during the approvals.
According to this report, with the approval of the Council of Ministers in January 2017, 6653 devices along with 500 ambulances have been cleared.
Also, according to the February 2009 decree, 2859 vehicles were cleared, the status of which indicates that out of this amount, 1000 units for Kerman Motor Company, 170 units for declaration and clearance, 145 units for Arvandi vehicles, four units for veterans’ quotas, and 1,200 units by order. Judicial authority and 340 devices related to other persons and previous statements.
But from the remaining cars, we can mention 51 cars under 2500 cc that have been declared but have not been licensed until the end of the February 2017 decree. Also, 82 devices in Khorramshahr customs, of which 73 are US orders and 9 devices are over 2500 cc.
There are 100 cars over 2500 cc in customs and 1089 cars are being pursued in judicial authorities, although some defendants have been sued for car clearance.
In relation to 927 units that are below 2500 cc, there is a problem of order registration and these cars do not have order registration.
In this correspondence, the Technical Deputy of Customs announced to the Ministry of Economy that due to the expiration date of these vehicles, an abandoned declaration has been prepared for most of them and has been given to the Proprietary Property Organization. According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers in 2009 and the inference of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade from the decision issued, the registration of orders for cars that were imported before the ban has not been issued.
Accordingly, it is not possible to declare customs formalities and vehicle clearance.
Previous offers did not work
The flow of depot vehicles is transferred from the previous government to this government, but there were many ifs and buts in the bid to determine their status, and for years these vehicles were in unfavorable weather conditions in the ports, although at the end of the twelfth government There were cars; At one point, the Proprietary Property Organization proposed the transfer of 1,500 vehicles to the free zones, but during a review by the government’s economic commission, it was suggested that all vehicles be assigned; So that cars under 2500 cc will be handed over on condition of sale inside the country, also luxury cars and over 2500 cc will enter and travel in free zones due to the impossibility of entering the country, and in relation to American cars that are represented No technical elimination was raised.
However, the government ended and no decision was made on the condition of the cars, and now, a few months after the arrival of the new government, no action has been taken yet.
