Another award honors Martin Scorsese/The Producers
Martin Scorsese receives the David O. Selznick Lifetime Achievement Award from the Producers Guild.
Charso Press: According to Variety, the Producers Guild of America is honoring the director and producer for six decades of production by presenting Martin Scorsese with the David O. Selznick Achievement Award.
The award will be presented to Scorsese at the annual Producers Guild of America (PGA) awards ceremony on February 25 (March 6).
The David O. Selznick Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to filmmakers to honor them for their significant work in cinema. Steven Spielberg, Barbara Broccoli, Mary Parent, Tom Cruise, Brian Grazer, Frank Marshall, Kathleen Kennedy and George Lucas are some of the figures who have been honored with this award before.

Scorsese said: March 1965 Producers Guild Award for my student film It’s Not Just You, Murray! I received. I was only 22 years old at the time, and a much older filmmaker was honored at the same ceremony. His name was Alfred Hitchcock. 58 years later I am proud to say that I am now that much older filmmaker and I feel like I have come full circle.
During his 6-decade career, Scorsese has produced more than 50 films, of which “Full Moon Killers” is the latest.
He has 3 nominations from the Producers Guild and received this award once for “Boardwalk Empire” and he also has 14 Academy Award nominations in his career and won the Oscar for Best Director for “The Departed”.
Among his other works as a producer are “The Irishman”, “Silence”, “Shutter Island”, “Hugo”, “The Wolf of Wall Street”, “Personality Crisis: One Night Only” and “George Harrison: Living in the Material World”. Cited.
