Attendance of 47 thousand imams in the country’s schools – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr reporter, Youssef Nouri, the Minister of Education, stated that we have more than 69,000 prayer rooms in schools and said: This is one of the blessings of the Prayer Summit, which started following the order of the Supreme Leader in 1971. We created and established prayer rooms in schools. Today we also have about 47 thousand imams in schools.

He added: Despite the issues that are raised, people believe in religious obligations such as prayer. However, a large percentage of people do not pay attention to the philosophy of prayer, and therefore we need this religious duty to be answered with new tactics.

The Minister of Education pointed to Farhangian University and said: School is the first institution that a child encounters. Therefore, teacher training in Farhangian University is very important. The trainings that are given are trainings on rules and the philosophy of prayer, while before this, more attention was paid to the training of rules. The school is the only institution that communicates with the parents, and this communication helps to spread the culture of prayer more.

Nouri stated that unfortunately Farhangian University had undergone changes for years and added: Today Farhangian University students learn skill courses in the field of prayer and its presentation so that they can attract students to prayer. Our effort is to teach skills. For this purpose, 70 thousand conservatories were added to the number of conservatory students this year, which means creating stable jobs.

The Minister of Education continued by stating that education is sometimes neglected: Fortunately, the imams of the country’s congregations in all the provinces go to Farhangian schools or universities one day a week.
