Automakers: We do not have electronic components for cars

The issue of increasing the number of defective cars has recently become very hot and has been the subject of much debate. The number of defective cars increased to such an extent that the work was left to the automakers.
After the automakers and the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade ignored the warning of the General Inspection Organization to monitor the process of commercialization, construction and completion of defective vehicles, the organization (the organization) considered this action of automakers as examples of hoarding leading to disruption of competition. The CEO called on Iran Khodro and Saipa to provide explanations regarding the lack of attention to the increase of incomplete vehicles and their incompleteness; Meanwhile, the 9-month production and sales statistics of automakers show that over 43,000 vehicles manufactured by Iran, Khodro and Saipa have not been commercialized during this period and the parking floor of the automakers has remained incomplete.
After the summoning of car manufacturers by the National Inspection Organization, further investigation of the issue of defective cars became more important for us, as a member of the Board of Investigation and Investigation of the Automotive Industry announced in a TV program: Research: Before applying the recent price increase (approved by the Market Regulation Headquarters on December 8 to increase the price of domestic cars) in the parking lots of car manufacturers, where there are incomplete cars, we realized a few important points. With the supply of drippers, automakers tend to keep the market always thirsty and demand more than supply. It was also found that many of these stored vehicles could not be commercialized due to a shortage of a component that could be supplied internally. The automakers (before applying the price increase) prevented the completion and supply of the car by not supplying a part (to justify the lack of commercialization for the research expert) in order to offer the products at a new price after the increase in prices.
In this regard, Ahmad Nematbakhsh, Secretary of the Iranian Automobile Manufacturers Association, said that some members of parliament sometimes make speeches that are popular, adding: The distance between the price of the car from the factory and the market has increased and eventually it has been forced to sell the car by lottery to determine the customers that everyone is commenting on.
He added: “In recent years, for example, Mobarakeh Steel has increased in price by 1032 percent, and other raw materials have been subject to price increases with high percentages, but cars have increased in price by about 500 percent.” Accordingly, the growth rate of raw material prices and car prices are not comparable. The carmaker is also not satisfied with the storage of cars; Because the non-supply of the car, in addition to obliging the automaker to pay the penalty for delay in delivery, there are costs such as capital closure, damage due to weather conditions, etc .; Therefore, it is by no means possible for a car with internal parts to be completed and commercialized, but the automaker can store it and not deliver it to customers.
Nematbakhsh also denied the non-supply of cars before the decision to increase the price under the pretext of selling at new prices, and said: “Incidentally, the number of defective cars increased after the increase in prices.” If before the price increase there were 150,000 incomplete cars, after the price increase it reached 170,000 units; But if, on the other hand, the number of cars had decreased after the price increase, the carmakers would have been accused of not offering the cars with the intention of selling them at new prices to make up for part of their losses.
We complain to the country’s inspection organization to determine the deadline
The secretary of the Iranian Automobile Manufacturers Association also complained about the country’s inspection organization, adding: “When a representative of the country’s inspection organization attends a meeting of the automobile committee and knows all the details, setting a deadline to collect floor cars is not fair.” It is true that carmakers have promised to reduce the number of defective cars, but not all cases are in the hands of the carmaker. In addition to the international transport sanctions, etc., the international problem that has been created for all the automakers in the world and is not specific to the domestic automakers, has made the path difficult. All the world’s automakers are facing a shortage of electronic components for electronic chipsets.
He pointed out: In addition to the decrease in electronic components, we also supply the same ones up to 25 times the price due to the pressures (such as increasing production circulation) that we have endured; While the world’s automakers have stated that there is no reason to increase production, we are lowering the circulation to make the situation of electronic components more favorable both in terms of quantity and price.
This member of the car committee emphasized: At present, the majority of cars in Iran, Khodro and Saipa remain incomplete due to the lack of ACU and ECU parts and cannot be commercialized. These components are supplied by component manufacturing companies that have difficulty supplying the chipsets used in these components (ACU and ECU) due to problems.
Tied the hands and feet of the automaker; They are waiting to move
Nematbakhsh emphasized: If the same electronic components are found and we provide them with equal prices for decades, the import conditions will still be difficult due to sanctions; Because many airlines do not accept to carry cargo parts. On the other hand, we have problems in transferring the amount of cars that we export to neighboring countries to transfer currency. They have tied the hands and feet of carmakers but expect them to move.
Some cars may be defective due to lack of internal components; The reason for this is that the debt of automakers to parts manufacturers has exceeded 40,000 billion tomans and other parts manufacturers can not deliver parts to automakers. There is no excuse for rejecting it; Of course, some cars may be defective due to the lack of internal parts; We do not deny this. The reason for this is that the debt of automakers to parts manufacturers has exceeded 40,000 billion tomans and other parts manufacturers can not deliver parts to automakers. They, too, face a lack of liquidity and are struggling to operate. We are all on the same ship, and the component makers have done their best to finance and sustain production and deliver the parts to the automakers.
The secretary of the Iranian Automobile Manufacturers Association reminded: “We have previously announced that if production is to continue, $ 10,000 (either from Article 90 of Article 44, which deals with the payment of subsidies by the government to goods offered below the real price, or in the form of loans and …) Assign to each automaker that we can pay the parts manufacturers’ claims so that they can also supply parts. In this case, in addition to the fact that incomplete cars will be collected, we can increase the production circulation from 2,000 units per day to 2,500 units per day; Unfortunately, this money was not provided to the car manufacturers.
Certainly, with the supply of electronic components, the problem of supplying internal components will also be solved
In this regard, Hassan Karimi Sanjari, an expert in the automotive industry, also pointed out that car companies do not seem to benefit from the increase in defective cars, especially in the current situation where the 18% increase in prices is due to factory sales; He stated: Naturally, with the current atmosphere prevailing in the country’s car policy, a new price increase can not be imagined; Therefore, expecting an increase in factory prices is futile. Logic dictates that in order to calm the attacks on the car industry, these cars should be completed and marketed in a short time.
He continued: “As evidence shows, the reason for the unprecedented persistence of defective floor cars is the lack of electronic chip required to produce car ACUs, which of course is a global crisis, and almost all car manufacturers in the world are involved in this issue.” There may be cars with a deficit of some other parts at the same time, such as lights or any other part mentioned by the MPs, but these shortcomings will definitely be eliminated when the chip is supplied.
The car industry expert pointed out: “On the other hand, given that car companies (contrary to popular belief) are completely state-owned companies and are run by the government, so attacking these companies by part of the government, rather than Based on a logical demand, it has a political origin. Criticism of one part of the governing body from another, although unprecedented and natural, but in a situation where both the government and the parliament have similar political aspirations, the roots of such sharp criticism must be sought elsewhere.
Karimi Sanjari emphasized: “People can be sure that despite all the criticisms leveled at the car industry, the incompleteness of this number of cars is real.” However, with strong and reliable planning, they could not get here. In addition, the compulsion of car companies to produce this number of cars with a deficit that can not be marketed by the country’s car policy maker to achieve higher statistics; However, the closure of capital to this extent is itself a factor in the lack of liquidity of car companies.
These cases are raised while the issue of defective cars and their cause was followed up in an interview with Adel Pirmohammadi, CEO of Sapco (Iran Khodro Design, Engineering and Parts Supply Company).
He first pointed out that in 1399, 501 thousand vehicles were produced in Iran Khodro Industrial Group, of which about 470 thousand were commercial vehicles and delivered to customers, he said: Therefore, most of the vehicles produced last year were offered and Less than 10% of them were incompletely deposited. This year, according to the plan, we have produced over 380,000 vehicles so far, of which about 335,000 have been supplied.
About 35 percent of the value of Iran-Khodro is related to electronic components, which is not under the control of the automotive industry and requires the support of the electronics industry so that we can complete and commercialize defective cars. Pir Mohammadi Regarding electronic components, he said: “About 35% of the value of Iran-Khodro is related to electronic components, which is not under the control of the automotive industry and requires the support of the electronics industry so that we can complete and commercialize defective cars.” Measures have been taken in this direction and steps have been taken towards self-sufficiency, but more efforts are needed in line with the industrial development strategy.
It should also be noted that Iran Khodro Industrial Group last week offered at least 55,000 units of its products to the market on a monthly basis and a 23% increase in supply (in line with the emphasis of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade) in the last quarter of this year compared to the same period last year. Reported the past.
Iran Khodro, after promising to increase production and supply of cars in the last quarter of 1400 and supply of more than 160,000 units in this period (winter 1400), presented a graph of the number of defective cars during the current year and its increase and decrease in 14 months in 1400 He predicted that he would increase his 96,000 defective cars to 60,000 by the end of December and to 45,000 by the end of the Nowruz holiday in 1401.
