Awarding a prestigious international award for engineering and management of water resources to a professor at the University of Tehran



According to reports IRNA Science and Education Group, This international award for outstanding participation in the fields of hydrology, hydraulics, irrigation and drainage, planning and management, hydropower plants and reservoir operation, flood studies, drought and climate change over a 36-year period of teaching, research, consulting and Leadership was given to the trainee doctor.

Julian Hinds Special and prestigious Scientific Award In honor of the most distinguished US water engineer who designed, planned and implemented the Aqueduct Tunnel for the transfer of water from the Colorado River to California, is the highest scientific honor in the field of water resources engineering and management. The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) annually awards the author or authors of the most valuable contributions to the development of water resources, such as multi-purpose irrigation projects, flood control, municipal and industrial water, and hydroelectric water.

This award can be given for outstanding performance, many years of outstanding service, or special and distinguished scientific measures for the advancement of engineering and management of water resources.

According to the University of Tehran Public Relations, Dr. Karamouz, a professor at the University of Tehran, has a long history in water resources engineering and significant participation in research, teaching, student guidance, private consulting, and scientific publications in the fields of hydrology, hydraulics, and water resources.

He is the lead researcher of more than 30 major international projects in the fields of hydraulics (floodplains, reservoirs / dams, hydropower plants), hydrological planning and water resources in arid and semi-arid regions of the Middle East, including Iran, and has more than 6,300 citations in scientific articles. The remarkable H-Index is 43 according to Google Scholar and also has more than 2,200 citations based on the Web of Science database.
