Biden extended state of emergency over Cuba

According to IRNA on Thursday from the White House website, Biden wrote in a letter to the Speaker of the House and Senate about the continuation of the state of national emergency regarding Cuba: the need to continue the state of national emergency based on the threat of disruption of international relations There is Cuba.

Biden went on to argue that the continued unauthorized entry of any US-registered ship into Cuban territorial waters would continue to be detrimental to US foreign policy in order to maintain a national emergency over Cuba.

It was not until 2015 that the United States re-established formal diplomatic relations with Cuba under the Obama administration, lifting some of the restrictions imposed on the island nation since the Cold War.

However, easing of US-Cuban restrictions on the Donald Trump administration was lifted, although he retained the US embassy in Havana.

New US President Joe Biden promised during his campaign to reduce Cuba’s restrictions once again, but he has not kept that promise.
