The meeting of the negotiating delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran and three European countries continued until Tuesday morning at one o’clock in the morning. It is worth mentioning that since Monday, when Ali Bagheri returned to Vienna, similar detailed meetings have been held between the two sides.

According to Fars, the eighth round of Vienna talks to lift US sanctions against Iran will begin on Tuesday, February 7, after an 11-day break for consultations with their capitals in the presence of Iran and the P5 + 1 (Germany, France, Britain, Russia and China) resumed in the Austrian capital and has since been held at various levels and formats. Ali Shamkhani, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, tweeted today: “The strategy of ‘active resistance’ has failed Trump’s policy of ‘maximum pressure’, as the current US administration admits.” If the Vienna talks do not lead to a good agreement, the current US administration will certainly feel defeated in the not-too-distant future due to the lack of timely use of diplomatic opportunities.
