Blinken: The G7 policy towards Iran is diplomacy with deterrence

According to Fars News Agency, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said on Tuesday morning that the G7 countries have adopted a policy of diplomacy with deterrence towards Iran.
Blinken wrote on his personal Twitter page: “The Group of 7 is moving towards Iran with unity, which includes de-escalation and diplomacy with deterrence.”
He explained about the Monday evening meeting of the Group of 7: “We also agreed that the normalization of relations with the international community, which the Taliban is looking for, depends on their actions. In Central Asia, we are still committed to solving common concerns.
The spokesperson of the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs also stated about this meeting: “At the meeting of the foreign ministers of the 7 countries with the agenda of the Middle East and Central Asia, an agreement was reached on a range of issues such as the destabilizing behavior of Iran.”
“Also, a consensus was reached on humanitarian aid to Afghanistan and encouraging economic growth in Central Asia by diversifying trade routes,” the statement continued.
Earlier, the Axios website quoted knowledgeable sources and wrote that the US government has consulted with Israeli and European officials about a temporary agreement with Iran in recent weeks.
An Israeli official and a Western diplomat told Axios that the Iranians are aware of the American consultations regarding this plan, but have so far rejected the idea. (More details)
