By the efforts of Satra and Kodoomo; Children’s Week Family Course was held

Life group: According to the Fars News Agency family reporter, the family week of the children’s week was organized by Satra and Kodomo on Sunday, October 9, at the Chamran Cultural and Sports Complex.
Therefore, in this period, parents talked about their children’s experience in using VODs and their concerns in the field of animation by producing content appropriate to Iranian culture.
One of their criticisms was that in the field of management and policy-making, the attachment of families is not given importance. In fact, the cultural attachment is not a priority in policy-making and social affairs. Another criticism of parents was the lack of respect for the family in the animations and the lack of communication between cultural product providers and families.
Another problem raised by parents at the meeting was that they quickly found the right content for their families, and that VODs were positioned as businesses while they had to be based on audience demand and pay attention to what the customer wanted.
Also in another part of the parent meeting, they talked about the uncensored parts of VODs, the hidden content of which is understood by some children. Another criticism of parents was the lack of a law to protect child information in Iran, that there is no control over emotions, and that there are objections and obstacles, but heroism is not addressed, and some user-centered platforms in the field of children are not monitored.
The media literacy of families with a focus on children and adolescents should be increased
In another part of the ceremony, Sajjad Samani, the editor of Kodomo, said: Kodomo website and system is the media assistant of parents in choosing media products for their children.
Regarding this family cycle in Children’s Week, he said: “In this program, some families, especially professional and experienced mothers, were invited to talk about their children’s use of VODs, to share their positive and negative points and experiences with us and each other.” Share and think about Children’s Week.
Samani said about Kodoomo: Kodoomo is a group of families who try to use the media of their children and adolescents in a healthier way. Which one is trying to make these families bigger and wider.
Editor Kodomo continued: “In Kodomo, we try to reach the maturity and activism of families who are more aware and sensitive to the consumption and education of their children’s media and increase the media literacy of families with a focus on children and adolescents.”
He stated that the research project of this system took about a year and a half before the launch of Kodomo site, and said: In this research, the products of eight countries were studied and researched to determine what measures were taken in this field.
“One of our concerns on the platforms is the localization of films and animations in the field of children and adolescents,” Samani said.
Parents’ tips and tricks are the best option to fix the shortcomings because they experienced
In another part of the ceremony, Ms. Zahra Roshandel, Director General of Satra Regulations, said: “One of Satra’s concerns is in the field of suitable services for children. Therefore, during the week, the child tries to have different meetings and gatherings with mothers in different groups.”
He added: “The first meeting was held with knowledgeable and expert parents in various fields to explain their challenges and concerns and provide appropriate solutions.”
Roshandel said that the solutions and suggestions of parents are the best options because they experienced, he said: This course was held in order to standardize and improve the quality of sites providing services to children.
The Director General of Satra Regulation continued: “During this period, parents presented some shortcomings and suggestions, and it was decided to create a network of parents according to their specialties to be present in the Satra Think Tank.”
“We are going to have a meeting with the media in the coming days,” he said. “We are trying to convey the concerns and challenges raised by parents to the media. Define media in the field of children.
Regarding the ultimate goal of these measures, Roshandel said: “The ultimate goal is to provide a safe and secure area for children, because the content of the play has a great impact on their educational and developmental issues so that it does not have a negative effect on them emotionally and psychologically.” To achieve these standards, Satra has plans that we hope all media outlets will reach this maturity as soon as possible.
Families need to understand the needs and requirements of the media comprehensively, and the media needs to understand the concerns and concerns of families about their children and adolescents.
In another part of the ceremony, Hossein Haghpanah, Deputy of Tebyan Children and Adolescents and a member of the Board of Writing the Textbook of Thought and Literacy in Education, said: “Parents participated in this course who have experience in using VOD and themselves in various fields, especially in science.” Educational and psychological are relatively active, and some of them are familiar with which service they are familiar with, and in general, they are sensitive to the education and consumption of their children’s media. We chose and invited some of the mothers.
Regarding the full connection between families and the media, he said: “Families need to understand the needs and requirements of the media comprehensively, and the media must understand the concerns and concerns of families about their children and adolescents.” We are the link between the two to receive the concerns of families and convey them to the media, and to explain the needs and problems of the media to families.
Haghpanah added: “In order to promote the education and media literacy of families and social regulation, we help them to be able to choose the appropriate content for their children.” On the other hand, we help the media to safely categorize their content by age and make it accessible to families.
Regarding the families’ period, Tebyan said: “This period was organized at the suggestion of Satra, and we tried to help them in the implementation.” Today, families gathered here whose children had experienced VOD.
He continued: “The families talked about the concerns and problems that arose and had suggestions and solutions to eliminate the shortcomings that Satra can follow up these issues properly and transfer them to the media and make rules for it.”
Haghpanah stated: “One of the main problems in the field of producing media content for children and adolescents is having a business view only in this field, for which, like the rest of the world, appropriate laws and frameworks should be created;” Because children are the future assets of the country, if this problem is solved, the media will not only not hinder the growth of our children, but will be a unique opportunity for the new generation to acquire new skills and be the children of their time.
He concluded: “We hold these meetings with government representatives and the media to convey the concerns of parents, and we also have these meetings in the private sector, such as Kodomo and content production collections in the field of children and adolescents.” Recently, Kodoomo has started a limited partnership with one of the most popular platforms, and some of its animations are published with Kodoomo age category and educational descriptions.
