Chamran: Judiciary should enter into the issue of duties and obligations of bus manufacturers

According to Fars Mehdi Chamran, in the 152nd meeting of the Islamic Council of Tehran, in response to the report of the deputy director of transport and traffic of Tehran Municipality, stating that some people are saying, “Let’s not buy and let people stay in the heat, wind and rain” based on national prejudice. But don’t buy a foreign bus,” he said: “We shouldn’t stop here, and if it stops, it will ruin our reputation.”

He added: We should not look for profit and we should know that we need buses to develop the fleet. At the national level, we are affected by these problems and we in the council could consider additional funds, which we did.

Chamran emphasized: Ministry of privacy should be included; What do factories do? The situation of private cars is clear and the bus is also like this. We have to bring the manufacturers to the field and bring buses into the fleet.

Stating that 500 buses will be renovated and 460 new buses will be delivered, he clarified: We will not get anywhere with these things. We were supposed to reach 4,000 devices by the end of the year, and of course, reports were submitted, but they are not serious and definitive, so efforts must be made in this field, because otherwise we will have to bring in the judiciary and the prosecutor’s office and say that there are no buses in the country. And if producers can’t produce, they have to buy buses.

The head of Tehran Islamic Council also stated: What is clear today is that what we expected has not been done and we hope that we can work, but the producers must abandon their profit-seeking and otherwise the judiciary must be involved.

Chamran stated that the suffering of these conditions is borne by the people and said: We should not allow the people to suffer; We are the people’s representatives and we cannot leave and go.

Stating that we should have reached the modernization and overhaul of the metro earlier, he said: We appreciate and thank the metro company for the overhaul and construction of the stations, but overall, we have not yet reached the desired result in the development of the fleet.
