Director General of the Non-communicable Diseases Management Office of the Ministry of Health added: Deafness and hearing loss are the third most common disabilities in people and include 7% of the burden of diseases. Therefore, the implementation of screening and diagnostic programs is very important in this regard.

He clarified: Managers of non-communicable diseases groups of medical sciences universities should take seriously the issue of vaccination of people who have underlying diseases or are in high-risk groups such as the elderly.
