Combining handicraft and tourism events is a way for handicrafts to grow and prosper



According to Aria Heritage’s report, due to the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Yazd Province, a meeting of members of the Yazd Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Association and a group of artists in various fields with the Director General and Deputy Handicrafts of Yazd Province was held on Wednesday, January 1st.

At the beginning of the meeting, the executive director of the “Yazd Mandegar Hands” Association of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts made requests to better advance the association’s goals, to which the director general and deputy director of the province’s handicrafts responded.

Holding special complementary and training courses for working artists by inviting professors in the name of a country, holding joint meetings with tourism friends in order to further support handicraft artists, holding a WORK SHOP in native disciplines with the presence of professors in the name of a country, requesting space for office Association, cooperation and consultation with trade and customs in order to attract traders to have a more prominent presence in the field of handicraft exports, preparation of books by veteran handicrafts artists, more interaction with departments to introduce the Handicrafts Association in order to create infrastructure for selling handicrafts. The meeting was addressed by the CEO and members of the association.

Mohammad Reza Dehghan Mehrjerdi, Yazd Handicrafts Deputy, while welcoming the artists and members of the association present at the meeting, said: “Holding such meetings will lead to greater convergence and cooperation between the artists of the province.”

“He further asked the members of the association to send the plan and program of the association in writing to the provincial deputy for handicrafts so that better planning and more coordination can be done in order to advance the goals and plans of the association.”

The Deputy Minister of Handicrafts of Yazd Province also demanded the presentation of the required titles and educational topics regarding the courses required by the association.
