Core i9 12900H processor found – 14 cores for gaming notebooks

In addition to the Alder Lake S desktop lineup, Intel is preparing to offer Alder Lake P mobile chips designed for both the high-end and mid-range categories. In this regard, the flagship Core i9 12900H processor in the benchmark Ashes of The Singularity It was observed that we will probably see the fastest model of Alder Lake P as well.

The Alder Lake P line-up will replace the Tiger Lake H45, Tiger Lake H35 and Tiger Lake UP3 series processors. For this reason, high-end and mid-range chips are in the same category, but will be identified by the suffixes H and U. We can easily say that the Core i9 12900H is a high-end model that will be one of the fastest laptop processors, if not the fastest.

The Core i9 12900H laptop processor from the Alder Lake P series was spotted

The Core i9 12900H, as mentioned, is seen in the AOTS benchmark and uses 14 cores (6 powerful cores and 8 low-power cores) with 20 strands. The AOTS benchmark is unfortunately outdated and does not support Alder Lake chips, so we only see the maximum number of strings while the number of cores is not reported correctly. The Alder Lake P platform offers the highest configuration of 14 cores. Other specs include 16GB of RAM and a GeForce RTX 3080 laptop graphics.

It is not a matter of frequency, amount of cache or memory specifications so that performance comparison is meaningless, especially since there are different versions and we can not use it without accurate hardware identification. The bottom line is that the Core i9 12900H notebook processor comes with Nvidia graphics, which means that in 2022, most high-end laptops will continue to use a combination of Intel and Nvidia, but since the blue giant started producing graphics in the first season of 2022 We will probably see more models with ARC Alchemist notebook graphics.

Intel Mobile Processors Roadmap

Alder Lake P processors are likely to enter production between November 2021 and March 2022, while Alder Lake M chips will be produced from January 2022 to April 2022. Undoubtedly, we will see more news in future events such as CES 2022.
