Corona did not go but the actors came

With the arrival of Corona, many well-known theater actors moved to the home theater network like movie figures to clarify the task of this uninvited guest, but now, although Corona still has a place in our lives, some well-known theater actors are going on stage. .

Theater News Base: When Corona came, a group of well-known actors such as Fatemeh Motamed Aria, Mahtab Nasirpour, Navid Mohammadzadeh, Hotan Shakiba, Hooman Bargh Noord, Lily Rashidi, Afshin Hashemi, Behnoosh Tabatabai, Fahimeh Rahimonia, Roya Mir Elmi, Ehsan Karami and … They were playing in various shows when the magnifying glass virus drove them home.

During this time, many well-known theater actors have not yet appeared on stage. Concerns about health on the one hand and economic issues on the other have kept them off the scene. At present, despite the rising costs of making a play, due to the observance of health protocols and the principle of social distance, it is necessary to leave half of the capacity of theaters empty, and this has caused many professional groups to use their canes because They anticipate that in this situation, they will not be able to meet the production costs of their work.

However, during this difficult period, a number of professional groups have performed their works.

On the evening of Saturday, November 13, several well-known actors came to Shahrzad Hall to do a good deed and read the play “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” by Edward Albie.

The play was sung by Mitra Hajar, Hamed Komili, Khatereh Asadi and Ramin Parchami. The director of this play is Mehta Mohaddes, and the aim of this group is to return Ramin Parchami to the field of art. The actor has not been in a good mood for some time due to some problems, and now his friends have decided to remind the art community of this actor and his abilities once again with this program.

This play was read on Saturday, November 13, in two rounds, 18 and 20, in the presence of theater and cinema artists and, of course, the general public.

But the main hall of the Shahr Theater, which only hosted one play during the Corona era, now sees actors such as Jalil Farjad, Reza Omrani, Amir Ghaffarmanesh and Nora Hashemi playing alongside a group of young students in “My Beloved Lady.” . This musical show, directed by Gulab Adineh and based on the famous movie “My Beautiful Lady”, has just started its performance after a long rehearsal and goes on stage every night at 6 pm.

What attracts attention in the performance of this play is the presence of actors who have been less active in the theater during these years. Jalil Farjad and Amir Ghaffarmanesh have been more involved in visual work, and Reza Omrani has been more involved in radio drama and the production of illustrated books. Omrani, who has worked with directors such as Hamid Amjad and Mohammad Rahmanian in the theater, is now back in the theater with this play.

Theatergoers remember Mirtaheri’s play in the plays of Mohammad Yaghoubi, Hossein Kiani and Parsa Piruzfar. During these years, he had a lesser presence in theater acting, and in the cultural and artistic institute that he founded with his wife, he was mostly engaged in teaching acting and translating books.

Mir Taheri is currently directing and playing one of the roles in this play. Of course, at the beginning of directing this play, it was the responsibility of another director, and then, this responsibility was entrusted to him.

But among all these actors, Behnam Sharafi’s position may be more special than his other colleagues. He was replaced by Sasha Keshvadi, the writer, director and actor of “Room”, just a few days after his sudden death.

Sasha Keshvadi was a young director who died on the eve of his performance. Since he was also starring in his own play, the executive team decided to stage the play “Room” with another actor, and Behnam Sharafi, the actor whose name was drawn, in order not to ruin his efforts to play this play.

We have seen Sharafi playing in plays such as “Socrates”, “Faust”, “Anna Karnina”, “All About Mr. F”, “The Nightmare of Hazrat Ashraf” and …

The play “Room”, which is inspired by a real story in one of Tehran’s hospitals during the Crown, is on stage in Sepand Hall.
