According to Mehr reporter, Ismail Zarei Kosha said on Wednesday at the meeting of Kurdistan Province Youth Affairs Organization Headquarters in Sanandaj: Some of the reasons and problems of young people delaying marriage are deep-rooted and stem from cultural and social weaknesses.
He added: No one denies the existence of economic problems and unemployment and its effect on the delay in the marriage of young people, but the weakening of cultural beliefs in the society is also influential in this regard and should be taken into account.
The governor of Kurdistan pointed out: the role of the family, society and cultural and social issues in the field of marriage and stability of family life is very influential and this role should be strengthened.
Zarei Kosha stated: Many young people do not get married due to eye-to-eye and non-availability of necessary facilities for elaborate celebrations and luxuries.
He added: During the Corona era, many of these concerns were resolved and many families took advantage of this opportunity and celebrated their marriage in a simple and easy way, which shows that many families do not believe in luxury, but they have been influenced by society. .
Emphasizing on creating a culture of easy marriage and families and young people avoiding eye contact and luxuries, he said: According to civil registry statistics, most of the marriages that lead to divorce are related to the first five years of life, which is a cultural and social weakness. It is not ineffective in this regard.
Zarei Kosha mentioned education as one of the main strategies in the field of marriage and reducing divorce and said: the education system should work more in the field of lifestyle and familiarizing young people with the category of marriage.
He stated: Today, the stigma of divorce has been broken in the society and the diversity of men and women has grown, so that many couples resort to divorce without deeply examining their differences.
The governor of Kurdistan emphasized: Various governmental and non-governmental institutions and donors should enter the society regarding the increase in the number of divorces and investigate its causes and factors.
