Delete these bluetooth apps

After these programs were found to be infected with viruses, it was recommended to remove them. It is feared that more than a million people have already installed programs that appear as useful tools, but in fact, they contain malware.

4 programs were exposed by Malwarebytes experts for using a Trojan called HiddenAds.

They are called Bluetooth Auto Connect, Bluetooth App Transmitter, Driver: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB and Mobile Transfer: Smart Switch.

If you have any of them on your device, you should remove them immediately. The cybercriminals behind this campaign use a clever delay trick to avoid the problem.

This means you won’t notice anything unusual at first, so you have no reason to be suspicious of apps. But within a few days, the Trojan starts doing its malicious work and opens phishing sites on Chrome.

Some of the sites it opens are nothing more than a nuisance to make money from ads.

But others are more worrisome, such as one containing adult content that leads to more phishing pages telling the person they’ve been infected or need to update.

Tabs can be secretly opened in the background, even when your phone is locked.

When the user opens their device, Chrome opens with the most recent site. A new tab with a new site is repeatedly opened, so unlocking your phone after a few hours means closing several tabs.

Users’ browser history will also be a long list of bad phishing sites.
