During the meeting, Askarzadeh presented the official invitation of the Minister of Jihad for Agriculture of our country to his Belarusian counterpart to visit Iran this year to the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus.

In this meeting, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus, referring to the warm and friendly relations between the two countries and the great potential of Belarus and Iran in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry, called for the implementation of agreements between the two countries and removal of obstacles to further cooperation between Iran. Enumerating Belarus’ capabilities in the production of agricultural products, dairy and food industries, Krupko said: “The Belarusian government is ready to meet some of the needs of agricultural products in the Iranian market, as well as the implementation of joint projects in the field of agriculture.”

Explaining the results of the second joint Iranian-Belarusian agricultural commission, Askarzadeh said: “During a visit to the Belarusian Food Industry Exhibition and a number of dairy factories, agricultural machinery and livestock farms, I came to the conclusion that there are unique capacities for developing cooperation and implementing joint projects.” There is.

He added: “Belarus can meet some of the grains, oilseeds, chicken, eggs and butter that Iran needs, and in return, Iran can meet the needs of Belarus in the field of fish and seafood, fruits, vegetables and nuts.” .

During the meeting, which was also attended by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Belarus Hossein Yari and members of the delegations of the two countries, a draft agreement on plant protection and plant quarantine was signed between the two countries.

During the second joint agricultural commission of Iran and Belarus, the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding, according to which trade and trade relations in the field of agricultural products, horticulture, fisheries and aquaculture will be expanded.

Belarus is ranked 23rd out of 113 countries in the International Food Safety Rankings, ahead of Poland, Spain, Hungary, Ukraine and Russia.

Belarus is also the fourth largest producer of cheese and the third largest producer of butter in the world.
