Development of joint cooperation in the field of tourism between Konya and West Azerbaijan
According to the Arya Heritage report, the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of West Azerbaijan, Reza Heydari, referring to Haiti’s trip from West Azerbaijan to Konya Province, Turkey, stated: In line with the recommendations of Ali Asghar Shalbafian, Deputy Tourism Minister of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts and Morteza Safari, Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of the province, regarding the development of joint cooperation in the field of tourism with neighboring countries of West Azerbaijan, including Turkey, a joint meeting with the officials of Konya Province, Turkey, including Abdul Sattar Yarar, Director of Culture and Tourism, and Ozdal Callahan, President of the Konya Tour Operators Association held.
The vice president of tourism of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of West Azarbaijan added: In this meeting, the necessity of increasing interactions in the field of tourism and history between the two provinces, holding familiarization tours for tourism activists, increasing the number of tourism tours, and strengthening the connections between Konya and Khoy were emphasized.
He said: Visiting Chatal Hoyuk Hill, the oldest city in the world, Maulana’s Tomb, Butterfly Garden, historical mosques and museums were among other travel plans to Konya.
It should be noted that Dawood Farazi, Deputy Director of Cultural Heritage, General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, Fatemeh Sheikhpour, President of the Association of Tourism and Travel Service Offices of West Azerbaijan were also present in this trip.
