Discovery of a burnt body: At the end of February 1401, one of the residents of a village in Damavand city came across a burnt body, and the matter was reported to the police through the police emergency center 110.
After transferring the body to the forensic pathologist and examining the identity elements of the body (DNA test), it was announced to the 4th Intelligence Police Department of Greater Tehran that the body discovered in Damavand city belongs to Arsham.
According to the evidence obtained from the scene of the discovery of the body and the verification of the crime, the case of intentional homicide was referred to the 10th Department of Intelligence Police of Greater Tehran.
At the same time as the investigation of the case started in the 10th Department of Greater Tehran Intelligence Police, the detectives found out that Melina also did not return to her place of residence at the same time as Arsham was missing, and before the discovery of Arsham’s body, this hypothesis had gained strength that Melina was with Arsham.
According to the obtained evidences, investigating the hypothesis of Melina’s participation in committing the crime was placed on the agenda of the detectives, and by performing complex police measures, the detectives found out that Melina had been with a young boy named Nima (28 years old) in the same area for some time. It is known that upon returning to Nima’s place of residence, it was found that Nima also left her place at the same time as Melina disappeared.
While both the families of Nima and Melina claimed to be unaware of their fate, the detectives managed to identify their hideout in Islamshahr by carrying out special police measures. In coordination with the judicial authority, both of them were arrested on April 29 and were transferred to the 10th Department of Intelligence Police of Greater Tehran for investigation.
Melina’s confessions: Melina confessed to participating in the murder of Arsham and committing the crime by Nima and told the detectives: Arsham and I had decided to marry each other, but Arsham’s family was against the marriage of the two of us. When I became sure that my acquaintance with Arsham would not lead to marriage, I decided to separate my life from him; While my friendship with Arsham continued, I met Nima through Instagram and after a short time we met each other; After a short time, Arsham found out about my relationship with Nima and this issue caused us to argue. Arsham decided to talk to Nima to cut off his relationship with me, and they made an appointment with each other under the same pretext; On the day of the incident, all three of us were talking inside Nima’s car (a Pride car) when the discussion started, suddenly Nima hit various parts of Nima’s body with a knife that he had with him and killed him. killed We took the body to the deserts of Damavand by car and set it on fire by pouring gasoline. After burning the body and returning to Tehran, we decided to leave the families; We went to the north and hid in a rented villa for a while; After a short time, we went to the northwestern borders of the country and decided to leave the country illegally, but the earthquake in Turkey stopped us from going there, and finally, with the help of one of Nima’s friends, we found a house in Islamshahr city. We were hiding there until we were arrested by the police.
In a similar confession, Nima also confirmed Melina’s statements and stated that because of the strong interest she had found in Melina, she was not willing to leave her and committed the crime for this reason.
Detective Colonel Morteza Nisari, Deputy Director of Criminal Crimes of Greater Tehran Intelligence Police, announced this news and said: Considering the explicit confession of the accused and the evidence obtained in the case, a temporary arrest order has been issued for both accused and additional investigations are ordered. They have been placed in the work of the 10th Department of Intelligence Police of Greater Tehran.
