In an interview with a disciplinary reporter of Fars News Agency, Col. Nader Moradi, the head of the capital’s public places monitoring police, announced the arrest of the perpetrators of slaughtering and distributing donkey and horse meat in one of the farms in the south of Tehran.
Explaining the details of the above news, Col. Moradi stated: Earlier this week, we received news about the slaughter of several horses and donkeys in a ranch near one of the villages on the outskirts of Tehran. Officers of the Deputy for Supervision of Public Places and the Ninth Base of the Capital Public Security Police, along with representatives of the Tehran Veterinary Organization, were sent to the mentioned address.
He added: “Upon arrival and at the beginning of the work, the manager of this ranch prevented the officers from entering. He visited this ranch in compliance with citizenship rights and was informed of the court order. And a donkey head was brought to this place for slaughter.
The head of the capital’s public places monitoring police said that a rancher had been arrested and introduced to the prosecutor’s office for judicial proceedings, noting that efforts to arrest other people involved in the case were still on the police agenda.
