DLSS capability in the Linux way

Study time: <1 Minutes

To date, Nvidia card features such as Ray Tracing and DLSS have helped gamers a lot, and let’s start with a simple and concise explanation for those who are not very familiar with these two features.

Ray Tracing feature helps you to experience games with higher visual graphics. This feature can greatly enhance the shadows and reflections of the game environment, but if you enable this feature, your game will run at a lower frame rate. On the other hand, DLSS capability allows Nvidia cardholders to run the game at a higher FPS without compromising on quality or lowering the graphics settings.

This feature has only been available to Windows users for years, and users of operating systems such as Linux could not use it to run these games. According to official reports, DLSS will soon be available for Linux users; But there will be no news about this feature on Steam Deck.

Since the proprietary Steam deck operating system is based on Linux, everyone thought that this feature would be released for the Steam deck as well, but DLSS capability is exclusively available to Nvidia, and since the system deck chipset is made by AMD, it certainly is. Nvidia will not offer this feature to users of the new Valve console.
