According to the report of Aria Heritage, citing the public relations of the General Directorate of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts of Ilam, Abdolmalek Shanbehzadeh announced this news today, November 26, 1400: “It was registered in the list of intangible works of the country in 1398, number 84.”

The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Ilam added: “The importance of this registration file was so attractive that it was approved by the Ministry that the documentary of this ceremony be directed by a good and capable director named Mr. Soroush Okar.”

Shanbehzadeh stated: “Preliminary work and field research and registration provided to the director by the experts of the Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, and arrangements have been made for the performance of this ceremony, and the filming of this ceremony will begin soon.”

He continued: “The ceremony of Khawalin or Namak Lan is the name of a mine made of salt in the mountains of Ilam province. “Thanks to these salty aquifers, the hills around the tropics are familiar with the spring-like arrival of the people of this land, and every year, with the arrival of spring, people and cattle become salt-eaters.”

“Salt extraction from these mines is always done in groups due to many difficulties, so on each trip, a group of nomads and ranchers accompany each other to extract salt,” Shanbehzadeh said.
