Donors donated 600 billion to the needy during last year’s Eid al-Adha

Habibullah Asoudeh, deputy of the development of people’s participation of the relief committee, in an interview with the reporter of the social welfare group of Fars news agency, referring to the performance of the relief committee of Imam Khomeini (RA) on Eid al-Adha last year, said: last year, the benevolent people of the country totaled 198 billion Rials in cash and 1,98 billion Rials in the form of goods were donated to the relief committee.

He added: The benefactors of the country have donated 593 billion Rials directly and 4.5 billion Rials through charity centers of the country to help the needy during Eid al-Adha in 1401.

The deputy of the development of people’s partnerships of the relief committee emphasized: last year, donors have helped the needy people with 6 thousand and 393 million rials on Eid al-Adha.

He stated: 50,712 sheep, cows and camels and 350,000 kilos of meat were donated to help the needy in 1401, which were slaughtered and distributed in the country on Eid al-Adha.

Referring to the activity of charity centers on Eid al-Adha, Asoudeh said: 8,000 charity centers and relief committee offices across the country are ready to collect sacrificed meat and cash.

Referring to the offline methods of paying sacrifices, he noted: command codes *#12, *1*8877 and card number 6037991899977536 are provided and people can give their help to the needy in this way.
