Employers should not employ those who are absent from public duty – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news



Mehdi Islamkhah said in a conversation with Mehr reporter: According to Clause C of Article 9 of the Labor Law, one of the conditions for the validity of the contract is the absence of legal and Shariah prohibition of the parties in taking possession of the property or performing the work in question, and if the employer employs people subject to military service, the employment contract is void.

The General Director of Cooperative, Labor and Social Welfare of North Khorasan stated: According to Article 63 of the Public Service Law, absentees are not allowed to be employed by public and private organizations and workshops..

He added: Those who employ absentees will be identified by the police force, the ministries of cooperation, labor and social welfare and industry, mining and trade and will be introduced to the courts.

Islamkhah said: The punishment for employers who employ those who are absent from military service is the annual cost of one soldier for the first time and the annual cost of three soldiers for the second time and more.
