Employment of the Barakat Foundation for prisoners across the country

According to the Fars News Agency’s community group, Mohammad Turkmaneh, CEO of the Barakat Foundation, explained about the “Transformation Prison” project: “This project is implemented in line with the implementation of the Judiciary Transformation Document, one of the main points of which is job creation for released prisoners.” In this regard, the Barakat Foundation, as the main partner of the country’s prisons organization, plays a special role in creating employment for prisoners and their families.
The director of the Barakat Foundation added: “For the year 1401, launching 6,000 community-based employment projects for released prisoners, with open voting and the families of imprisoned prisoners is on the agenda.”
Turkmaneh announced the selection of Lakan Prison in Rasht as a pilot prison for the implementation of the “Transformation Prison” project and stated: “In this regard, 2,000 job creation projects will be implemented for the prisoners of this prison and their families.”
He emphasized: the implementation of the “Transformation Prison” project is supposed to spread throughout the country, and the Barakat Foundation will have the necessary cooperation with the Prisons Organization in this regard.
According to the director of the Barakat Foundation, the foundation’s employment plans include released prisoners, prisoners who have the opportunity to leave prison, and the families of prisoners who are imprisoned.
Turkmaneh added: “The Barakat Foundation is committed to creating jobs for prisoners and their families, because these groups are vulnerable and must be supported.”
He added: The total volume of investment to launch 6,000 special job creation projects for prisoners and their families is 10,800 billion rials.
The director of the Barakat Foundation said about the foundation’s past actions in the field of job creation for prisoners: By the end of 1400, the foundation has implemented more than 1,300 job creation projects with the capacity to create 4,200 jobs for prisoners and their families.
“Prisoners and their families, as one of the most vulnerable groups in society, are covered by the special support of the Barakat Foundation,” Turkmaneh said.
