Please introduce yourself, education? And how long have you been in this profession?

I am Behrooz Hashemkhani. Resident of Khorramabad, holds a diploma in economics and a technical diploma with three years of experience in writing.

What is the art of engraving? And what industries are covered?

The art of engraving is the decoration and engraving on metals, and this art includes all types of metals, including copper, brass, Warsaw, silver and gold can be engraved.

How did you learn this art?

From the beginning, I was interested in the art of painting, which had a great impact on the progress of my work in the field of engraving, and for the first time I had a trip to Isfahan province. I learned art.

Was just training enough or is experience necessary?

Certainly education is effective and in my opinion for success in any field of art, first of all the interest of the person is important, secondly, correct training and thirdly, practice, practice and perseverance can make the artist successful.

Do you currently have a workshop for training?

I have a permanent booth in the historical-cultural complex of Qala-e-Falak-e-Aflak, where I am engaged in training and producing handicrafts.

How many students do you have?

There are only a handful of people who work in this field, and we are working on training, production and direct supply of this art-industry in a workshop located in Golestan Garden.

Students are not faced with a problem after presenting and creating works to present them?

No, I have said many times that I buy the works of the students myself and they will not have any problems in this regard and after 10 sessions of basic training they can create good works as long as they have perseverance and interest.

How do you sell your products?

It is located in the Golestan Garden complex through the booth I mentioned.

Who are your biggest customers?

Buying art utensils is mainly a matter of taste, and sometimes more functional utensils are bought, of course, decorative utensils also have their own customers. In general, everyone buys from us, and fortunately, our people have long been familiar with the art of engraving, which can also be seen in the tourist souvenir basket.

Where do you get the raw materials for this industry?

The raw materials of this art-industry in our workshop are usually prepared raw in the form of plates, cups and other required utensils from Isfahan and Zanjan provinces, or we buy them cross-sectionally from some stores in the province. Of course, buying quarterly or six months from big provinces like Isfahan is better for us.

What do you suggest for young people and those interested in this profession?

I advise young people interested in art, especially the field of calligraphy, to persevere and work hard, and with practice and practice, they will surely succeed, because in addition to the value and richness of art and culture, this job is a job and can be a good source of income for them. .

Do you make other functional products as well?

Yes, recently I have been working experimentally in the field of landscaping, and God willing, I am trying to revive the art of landscaping for the first time in the country. Jewelry has been used since ancient times to create special decorations on objects such as daggers, swords and hats, which can still be used today with special techniques on dishes or objects.

What are your demands and expectations from the officials and agencies in charge, especially of cultural heritage?

I have no request except that, God willing, the cultural heritage officials pay special attention to the preservation, revival, continuity, and promotion of handicrafts and natives of Lorestan province. Use professors called handicraft disciplines to develop training in handicraft workshops. The public and private sectors should pay more attention to partnerships and investments. In the field of development and equipping of stable handicraft markets near historical places, so that, God willing, we can witness the branding and export of beautiful and unique handicrafts of our province.
