According to the Mehr reporter, in Eda FogPublic session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Wednesday, October 19) During the review of the bill on the teacher ranking system, the deputies approved Article 2 of the bill with 188 votes in favor, 8 against and 4 abstentions from a total of 236 deputies present in the assembly.

Article 2 states; In this law, the following terms are used in their detailed meanings:

1. Teachers: refers to people whose serious mission is solely to educate students in the formal public education system; Such as teacher, secretary, apprentice, educational affairs instructor, educational unit counselor, health care provider, special schools rehabilitation forces, principal and deputy in educational and training units

۲. Competence: A combination of knowledge, skills, attitudes, creativity, innovation, and personal characteristics based on the Fundamental Transformation Document of Education that enable the individual to perform job-related tasks successfully..

3. Teacher Competence: A set of competencies overseeing the aspects of individual and professional identity (professional ethics and commitment, professional knowledge, knowledge and training skills) that the teacher should acquire in order to strengthen and enhance the essential competencies related to the education process and to continuously improve it. And is the result of general, specialized, and professional competencies.

1-3- General competence: a set of personality traits and characteristics of a person, including beliefs, attitudes, beliefs and behaviors based on the value system, culture and morality of the Islamic society and the education system of the country that prepares the ground for committed work and Demonstrates one’s commitment to values, rules and regulations. These competencies are reviewed and approved during service in the field of education and management related to teachers and students.

2-3- Professional competence: a set of competencies related to mastering the process and outcome of specialized knowledge (subject of teaching), educational knowledge and other knowledge areas related to teaching-learning, achievements, creativity and related scientific innovations and the ability of scientific thinking and research In the area that a person must have to perform their job duties effectively.

3-3- Professional competence: a set of competencies related to the combined application of knowledge, attitude and specialized and educational skills in an educational and training position based on the standard educational system in the Islamic Republic of Iran

4. Experience: These are the abilities that the individuals mentioned in paragraph (1) of this article have acquired during their years of service.

5. Teacher ranking system: is an independent and special system for teachers of the Ministry of Education, including a set of principles, rules and processes that are designed and implemented in order to achieve the goals set forth in Article (1) of this law based on Islamic values ​​within the framework of this law..

6. Rank: A level of experience, competencies and skills. Individual and professional performance of teachers, which is determined based on the results of the evaluation process..

Note: Religious minorities authorized in the constitution and working in education are evaluated according to the criteria of Article 42 of the Civil Service Management Law.
