Exclusive report | NATO and Ukraine; Bitter ending or endless bitterness?

According to Fars News Agency’s International Service, with the beginning of the Cold War between the Eastern and Western blocs, the “North Atlantic Treaty Organization” (NATO Alliance) was established.
This military organization was formed to prevent the Soviet invasion of West Germany. With the collapse of the Soviet Union, NATO practically became a military force serving the interests of the United States and the West.
Between 1999 and 2004, ten countries from the former Soviet republics joined NATO, and the alliance’s sphere of influence expanded. With the Orange Revolution, NATO also opened its doors to Ukraine.
Ukraine’s membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization was on the agenda after the Revolution. The civil war in eastern Ukraine became an excuse to expand military cooperation between NATO and Ukraine.
The sale and delivery of military weapons to the region, the holding of joint exercises and the presence of US military advisers angered the eastern neighbor and ignited the flames of war.
