According to Fars News Agency’s urban correspondent, the Tehran Neighborhood Assembly meeting entitled “12 years of neighborhood management, capacities, achievements and challenges” was held in the presence of Seyed Ahmad Alavi, a member of the Tehran City Council and about 90 neighborhood managers, councilors and social activists.
In this meeting, 10 neighborhood managers, on behalf of other attendees, explicitly and in a professional and practical way, expressed their views and opinions in the presence of a member of the Islamic Council of Tehran and the chairman of the Social Participation Committee of the Sixth Council.
The head of the Social Participation Committee of Tehran City Council, while acknowledging the existence of many problems and shortcomings in the issue of neighborhood management, mentioned the issue of councils and neighborhood management as among the concerns of the cultural and social commission of the sixth council and said: strengthening councils is necessary.
He also emphasized the necessity of reforming the processes and processes governing neighborhood management in the sixth term of Tehran City Council, separating the two ideal views of the central neighborhood, social participation and the realistic view.
In this meeting, the most important challenges and problems of neighborhood management, including problems related to the position of neighborhood management, financial issues and problems of neighborhood administration, not hearing the voice of neighborhood managers by the city administration, demotion of neighborhood managers to internal affairs and district support, district progress And the seizure of neighborhood management powers has been raised in the last few years.
