Eye screening of children aged 3 to 6 years in welfare – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news



According to Mehr news agency, Afrooz Safarifard said regarding the screening of children and eye examination before entering school: the program of the country’s welfare organization for screening is almost similar to the program of education, but we start this screening for children aged 3 to 6 years.

The Vice President of Addiction Prevention and Treatment of Prevention Development Center of Iran’s Welfare Organization stated that every child at this age is screened 3 times, adding: This screening includes lazy eye disease, exclusive eye diseases and anatomical disorders in this area.

He pointed out: When children do not cooperate, they are screened by a device, and after identifying the problem, they will be referred to optometrist experts.

Stating that the welfare organization of the country follows up the condition of children until they are 10 years old and solves their vision problems, this official said: “Needy families whose children have vision problems are also identified, and welfare provides a subsidy for the purchase of glasses or an auction subsidy.” Paid.

Pointing out that the screening program of the organization is carried out at the city and village level, Safari Fard said: The screening program is carried out in the outskirts of cities and deprived areas and villages completely free of charge, and welfare bears the cost, and of course, this service is provided in other areas with a tariff.
