“Fath Ali Oveisi” died / Tomorrow will be buried in the artists’ section


Hamid Khajehnejad, in an interview with a Fars News Agency radio and television reporter, said: “Unfortunately, we learned that Veteran film and television actor Fath Ali Oveisi has surrendered this morning (Tuesday, October 4).”

He continued: “He was hospitalized for a week and was in a coma, and now, according to the plan of the family of the late Oveysi, tomorrow, Wednesday, October 5, the funeral of this artist will be held in the Behesht Zahra (PBUH) artists’ section.”

According to Fars, Oveysi had been hospitalized for some time and had fallen into a coma.

Actor and director Fath Ali Oveysi had acted in the TV series “Unspeakable”, “Beautiful City”, “Let’s Close the Belts”, “Dara va Nadar”, “Zirzamin”, “Baghche Minoo” and …

The artist was born on December 12, 1953 and graduated in directing and acting from Texas State University in 1974. Oveysi returned to Iran in the same year and began his film career starring in Alireza Davoudnejad’s film “Forbidden” in 1978.

After graduating, he became a member of the Islamic Republic of Iran TV and in the 1980s, he acted in many films and directed several films. Oveyssi returned to directing in the early 1970s, making his third feature film, “Mary and Methyl,” which was a success. Fath Ali Oveisi was very active on television in the second half of the 1970s. In cinema, his lasting role in the films “Captain of the Sun” (Nasser Taghvaei, 1986), “Lead” (Masoud Kimiaei, 1988), “Hey Joe” (Manouchehr Asgari Nasab, 1988), “Lady” (Dariush Mehrjoui, 1991) “Jahan Pahlavan Takhti” (Ali Hatami and Behrouz Afkhami, 1997) and “Mummy 3” (Mohammad Reza Honarmand, 1999) are remembered.
