Follow up to solve the problem of social security insurance for taxi drivers

According to the Fars News Agency’s urban group, Mehdi Esmaeil Begi, CEO of the Tehran Taxi Management and Supervision Organization, stated: “Taxi drivers are among the most dedicated members of society who have a difficult and sensitive job, and we met with Iqbal Shakeri, a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly.” We have had consultations to help solve the problem of this section of society.

He added: “In this meeting, the existing obstacles and problems in establishing social security insurance for taxi drivers and the existing problems in their way of benefiting from government subsidies in paying 50% of premiums were examined, which promised Iqbal Shakeri’s favorable cooperation.”

The Director General of the Tehran Taxi Management and Supervision Organization noted: “According to this, in the end, it was decided that the relevant committees of the Islamic Consultative Assembly and the relevant government officials would remove the existing obstacles and increase the quota for taxi drivers in the city.” Their benefit from government subsidies in paying monthly insurance premiums should be followed up.
