Forest fires in the United States have destroyed 20 percent of giant trees

According to IRNA on Saturday, the Guardian newspaper wrote: “The fire caused by lightning caused the death of thousands of giant sequoia trees this year and led to the destruction of trees that make up almost one-fifth of the largest trees on Earth.” Give.

The fire in the local park of sequoia trees and the surrounding forests has destroyed 2,261 to 3,637 sequoia trees.

Sequoia is the largest tree in terms of volume and is located in about 70 groves along the western side of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. These species used to be considered fire-resistant, but severe fires destroyed many of these trees, much to the surprise of the effects of the climate crisis.

California has experienced the largest wildfires in five years, setting a record for the number of acres of land affected by a fire. So far, the second largest area in the state has caught fire this year.

In the midst of the 2015 drought, Sequoia forests in the United States caught fire for the first time. Two fires in 2017 destroyed more sequoia trees, warning of future events.

The effects of climate change that have long been predicted by scientists have been confirmed by objective observations and scientific research. Some deniers of science are trying to make the issue of climate change a sham and prevent attempts to save the earth.
