Fouad Hossein: We have strong and long-standing relations with Russia

He said: We have strong and long-standing relations with Russia and we support the efforts to resolve the crisis in Ukraine.
Fouad Hossein clarified: holding the meeting of the heads of Arab countries in Jeddah has been accompanied by great challenges, especially the crisis in Sudan and the situation of other Arab countries.
Regarding Syria’s return to the Arab League, the Iraqi Foreign Minister also said: Syria’s return to the Arab League and its participation in activities and conferences are important.
The relations between Russia and Iraq have been growing in recent years.
It was a few months ago that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov consulted with Iraqi authorities on the issues of energy, oil, gas, activities of Russian companies, Iraqi security and weapons during his trip to Baghdad and signed contracts with Iraqi authorities.
