Fraud with Kashf Hijab text messages/Beware of malware – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr reporter, Saeed Tajari said in a conversation with reporters on Saturday afternoon: Due to the implementation of the plan of chastity and hijab by the police and sending text messages to offenders, cybercriminals took advantage of this issue and sent fake text messages containing infected links. And they commit fraud through personal numbers.
Golestan FATA police chief added: This criminal method happens in this way that at first, when people click on the link in the text message, it leads to the installation of malicious malware on the user’s smartphone, and at the same time, it leads the user to a fake bank portal or so-called Phishing and theft of personal or bank information, in the end, unauthorized withdrawals are made from people’s accounts.
He said: Citizens should remember that the police do not send messages from personal numbers, and private and government organizations and institutions mainly use masked phone numbers known as number masks for notifications and messages sent by the police. There are no links.
Tajari added: if the fellow provinces receive such text messages, they should report the matter to the FATA police.
