The Deputy Director of Rehabilitation of the General Welfare Department of Tehran Province added: Currently, our day centers are for the mentally disabled, people with autism, families and children with hearing disorders, physically disabled, spinal cord injury, job support, the elderly, chronic mental patients, disorders Oral swallowing and feeding services are provided and they help the clients in vocational training departments and production centers.
Referring to the amount of subsidy paid to welfare beneficiaries, he said: Out of 4,967 people who benefit from the services of these centers, 4,138 people have been subsidized.
Rezaei also said about the supply of rehabilitation aids: Last year, wheelchairs were provided for 1012 people and 486 people were given purchase allowances for the patients.
He continued: In total, 872 people have been provided with hearing aids, and 135 people have been given hearing aids.
The Deputy Director of Rehabilitation of the General Department of Welfare of Tehran province explained the provision of some welfare services to clients and explained: provision of 2,100 hearing aid battery rings for hearing impaired clients, provision of 245 items of vision rehabilitation aid items for visually impaired clients, provision of 883 items of other items such as Canes, walkers and toilets, supply of 26 cases of horizontal lift for bed-bound patients, supply of 10 cases of EasyStance for bed-bound patients, supply of 50 cases of corner seats for patients with cerebral palsy, supply of 155 cases of wavy mattresses for bed-bound patients, supply of 50 cases of pedals mechanical and electrical for physical-motor patients and the payment of allowances for the provision of physiotherapy services to 2495 patients are among the most important welfare measures in the last year.
He also explained the cultural programs of this department and stated: Puppet show course was held for the first time in Tehran province for all day and night centers in 2 preliminary and advanced stages.
Rezaei reminded: Holding the International Day of Disabled People conference, sending 3 selected teams to the Aftab festival and honoring the selected ones are among the most important cultural measures of this administration.
He considered paying attention to the employment of the disabled as one of the important welfare measures and said: In this regard, booths will be set up and the products produced by people with disabilities and their families will be exposed to the public in order to help these people generate income.
